Physical Therapy in Hollywood, FL: When to Book a Check-Up
Physical therapy in Hollywood, FL doesn't have to wait for an injury. At Lighthouse Pilates & PT, Dr. Mary, a Doctor of Physical Therapy, sees patients one on one at our studio on Sheridan Street, and many people book a visit as a check-up for how they move.
What physical therapy at Lighthouse covers
Dr. Mary works with people recovering from surgery or an injury, and with people who want to stay ahead of one. She also does full-body assessments, where she looks at how you move as a whole. Every visit is one on one with her.
Good times for a check-up
Starting something new is one. If you're about to take up running, golf, tennis or a new class, a visit beforehand gives you a clear starting point.
Coming back after a break is another. After months away from exercise, or a long recovery, it helps to check in before you pick your old routine back up.
If most of your day is spent at a desk or in the car, Dr. Mary can look at how you sit, stand and move, and give you a few things to work on between visits.
Staying active as you age is a good reason too. Plenty of our patients come in because they want to keep walking, gardening or taking Pilates classes for many years.
Self-pay physical therapy
Physical therapy at Lighthouse is self-pay. We don't bill insurance or Medicare, and you book directly with us. Current prices for an evaluation and for follow-up treatment are on our website.
Physical therapy and Pilates under one roof
The studio also teaches reformer Pilates in classes of six or fewer, designed by Dr. Mary. Some patients move into classes or privates when PT ends, and some do both at the same time. Our post Pilates After Physical Therapy in Hollywood, FL explains how that works.
